  • TTX2 refers to two air chambers meaning greater air volume. Provides a more linear spring rate
  • Trunnion mount: the linkage bolts directly to the sides of the cylinder head
  • TTX Twin tube design for consistent damping performance on all types of terrain
  • Extra bushing overlap for improved side load management
  • Specific wiper seal and air sleeve lubrication reduce friction
  • External rebound, low-speed and high-speed compression adjustment
  • Climb mode to reduce suspension movements during climbs
  • Includes (2) air spring volume spacers to reduce travel -2.5mm or -5mm
  • Mounting hardware sold separately (spherical bearings reduce friction on the shock during side loads for improved small bump sensitivity, optional on widths up to 22mm)

Ohlins TTX2 Air Shock FAQ

Why are Ohlins shocks only sold in one size with multiple stroke lengths?

Metric shocks with the same eye-to-eye length are physically the same shock, no matter what the stroke is. For example, a 230x60 shock is the same as a 230x65 shock, but the 230x60 just has a 5mm spacer installed to reduce the stroke by 5mm. Ohlins sells their shocks in each individual eye-to-eye length and includes the small parts required to change the stroke internally in 2.5mm increments down to a maximum of 7.5mm reduced stroke.

  • Ohlins shocks are shipped out in the MAXIMUM stroke length for that size of shock.
  • EXAMPLE: If your bike needs a 230x60 shock size, you would purchase the 230 length shock and then install 5mm of stroke spacers to reduce the stroke to 60mm.

When I receive my new Ohlins TTX2Air or TTX1Air, what stroke length will it be set to?

Ohlins shocks are shipped out in the MAXIMUM stroke length for that size of shock.

EXAMPLE: If your bike needs a 230x60 shock size, you would purchase the 230 length shock and then install 5mm of stroke spacers to reduce the stroke to 60mm.

How do I change the stroke length on my Ohlins TTX2Air or TTX1Air shock?

This procedure requires an 8mm Shaft Clamp and Loctite 243.

Can I use Fox or RockShox mounting hardware in an Ohlins shock?

If you are switching from a Fox or Rockshox shock to an Ohlins shock, you can absolutely use your Fox or RockShox mounting hardware in the eyelets of the Ohins shock.

  • Fox, RockShox and modern Ohlins shocks (and almost every brand of rear shock) uses an eyelet size of 15mm inner diameter and width of 12.7mm(1/2"). This means you can use any hardware between these brands of shocks, which saves you money from having to purchase new hardware.
  • Ohlins and Fox shocks both use poly IGUS bushings which you can easily remove with a small flathead screwdriver.
  • RockShox shocks use a metal DU bushing which is pressed into their eyelet. You will remove the poly IGUS bushings from your Ohlins shock, press out the metal DU bushings from the RockShox eyelets using a DU Bushing Removal Tool, and then pressing it into the naked Ohlins eyelet.
