Maxxis mountain bike tires are some of the best in the industry. Offered in a variety of tread patterns, rubber compounds, and sidewall configurations, there's a perfect Maxxis tire for everyone! Where we ride in the PNW, we love the MaxxGrip rubber compound with either the EXO+ or DoubleDown sidewall. MaxxGrip gives us amazing traction on wet roots and steep trails, and EXO+ front tires give a low weight, while DoubleDown rear tires give us all the support we're looking for. The Assegai is our favorite front tire, with predictable cornering and overall amazing traction in almost all conditions. During the winter, the High Roller is an amazing option when the trails are muddy. With tall and square knobs, the High Roller is amazing at finding traction where there isn't any. In the rear, both the Dissector and DHR II and fantastic choices. The Dissector will roll a bit faster, and the DHR II offers maximum braking traction.
